Starlite Marbella Festival

by | Oct 24, 2023 | Costa del Sol

Imagine yourself for a moment on a warm summer night on the Costa del Sol. You’re in a natural amphitheater surrounded by imposing, illuminated rock walls, with a starry sky above you and your favorite artist playing just a few meters away. Sounds good, right?

That’s exactly what the  Starlite Marbella Festival is, considered by many to be the most important boutique festival in Europe. If you’re planning a trip to the south of Spain this year, attending one of its concerts should be at the top of your list of plans.

In this updated guide to Starlite Marbella 2026 , we’ll tell you absolutely everything you need to know from the perspective of someone who’s already experienced it. We’ll discuss its incredible lineup month by month, give you the best tips for parking and dining, and reveal this year’s big new feature that will transform your summer days. Let’s get started!

Why is the Starlite Marbella Festival so special?

To understand the true magic of this event, you have to know where it comes from. You’re not going to just any festival grounds; you’re going to the Nagüeles Quarry . It’s an old stone quarry located in the heart of nature, high in the mountains above Marbella.

This natural setting creates a stunning acoustic effect. The 60-meter-high rock walls act like an amphitheater, enveloping you in sound. Furthermore, its capacity is very small compared to other large-scale festivals (around 2,200 people). This means that, wherever you’re sitting, you feel like the artist is singing almost right in your ear. It’s an intimate, exclusive, and glamorous experience.

Starlite Marbella 2026 Program

Forget those endless lists of artists that seem to go on forever. Let’s go through this year’s lineup as if we were planning your summer itinerary together. The 2026 edition is coming in hotter than ever, mixing rock legends, international pop stars, and the kings of urban music.

June

If you’re one of the lucky ones who takes their vacation early, June has some memorable nights in store for you. The atmosphere kicks off mid-month with urban rhythms courtesy of Ozuna, perfect for getting warmed up. Shortly after, if what you’re craving is pure feeling and flamenco soul, Niña Pastori will give you goosebumps.

But be warned, because the last week of June is for rock purists. The legendary Lenny Kravitz will take the stage at the quarry to leave us breathless, passing the torch the following day to the immense Alan Parsons. A simply spectacular end to the month.

July

July is the main event. We’ll barely have turned the page on the calendar when the ever-energetic Gipsy Kings will have the entire audience dancing. From then on, the variety is incredible. For those feeling nostalgic and who love music history, the festival will treat us to performances by icons like Deep Purple, the king of 80s pop Rick Astley, the electronic music genius Jean-Michel Jarre, and the unmistakable sounds of Kool & The Gang.

If you have a more romantic or pop-loving soul, mark the dates for Maroon 5, John Legend, and the elegant Diana Krall in red. Prefer to dance to reggaeton or Latin rhythms until dawn? Don’t worry, because July’s urban lineup is top-notch: from Danny Ocean and Grupo Frontera to Juan Luis Guerra, Manuel Turizo, and Yandel Sinfónico.

August

August has arrived, the quintessential month for the Costa del Sol. Here, the festival fully embraces the celebration of Spanish music. If you’re looking for a night of singing your heart out, artists like  Rosario ,  Sergio Dalma ,  Malú ,  Vanesa Martín  , and  Pastora Soler  have prepared a repertoire packed with anthems.

The alternative and indie vibe will be provided by beloved bands like  Taburete ,  Iván Ferreiro  , and  Love of Lesbian , perfect for enjoying with friends and a good drink in hand. And if you’re looking for a wild party, the nights featuring  Gloria Trevi ,  Gente de Zona  , and the legendary  Nile Rodgers & CHIC  promise to keep everyone dancing.

The surprise of 2026, Starlite Beach Club is coming

Here’s the exciting news that has us all buzzing. If we already loved the nighttime festival, imagine experiencing that same atmosphere under the sun, right on the beach.  Starlite Beach Club opens its doors in 2026 .

It will be located in the Laguna Beach complex in Estepona. Spanning over 2,000 square meters, this space will become the epicenter of daytime leisure. It will feature a swimming pool, sun loungers, gourmet cuisine, and, of course, live music, themed parties, and DJ sessions in true Starlite style. It’s the perfect plan: spend the day soaking up the sun with great music in Estepona, and then head up to Marbella at night for the main concert.

Food, tickets and transport

To make your experience complete, there are a couple of logistical things you should plan in advance.

Tickets and where to eat

We recommend purchasing your tickets only on the official website . You can choose between the proximity of the Stalls or the comfort of the VIP Boxes, which include waiter service.

Arrive at least a couple of hours before your concert. From 8:00 PM onwards, the  Lounge and Sessions areas  come alive with gourmet food trucks, top-quality fast food stands, and premium sit-down restaurants (for the latter, book well in advance). Dining in the quarry itself before the concert is half the experience.

How to get there and park easily

The Nagüeles Quarry is in the mountains, so walking there from Marbella isn’t an option. You have two main alternatives:

  1. Take the shuttle buses that depart from Marbella centre.
  2. Go in your own vehicle  and park in the huge  free General Parking lot  (1 km from the entrance, from where a minibus takes you directly to the festival). If you have a VIP ticket, you can drive right up to the entrance.

Our golden tip:  Forget about waiting in long lines for a taxi after the famous after-parties. The smartest way to get around the Costa del Sol and attend Starlite is by  rental car . It gives you the freedom to go to the Beach Club in Estepona during the day, have dinner in Marbella in the evening, and head up to the quarry at your own pace.

Get ready for the best night of the summer

In short,  Starlite Marbella 2026  is not just a concert, it is “the event” of the summer.

Our advice is to check the month that best suits your musical tastes. Take advantage of the day to visit the new Starlite Beach Club in Estepona. Arrive early at the quarry for dinner and soak up the atmosphere. And finally, book your transportation so you’re not dependent on other people’s schedules in the early hours of the morning.
